SUMMARY 

Responsible for assisting Accounting Supervisor with accounting functions including reporting of the entity’s financial operations. Must have 1 to 2 years of Public Account Experience

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepares monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements and comparative reports, account reconciliations, cost reports.
  2. Prepares and analyzes reports by line of business and by location.
  3. Assists manager in the conversion of the financial statements from one accounting method to another (i.e. accrual basis to cash).
  4. Posting of daily cash activity by line of business.
  5. Prepares all bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  6. Prepares all balance sheet reconciliations by line of business on a monthly basis
  7. Maintains fixed assets subledger and process monthly depreciation calculations.
  8. Stays informed of all government regulations and procedures affecting clinic finance and accounting procedures.
  9. Maintains and reviews cost center and appropriation accounts, including trial balances, to verify accuracy with coding, classifying and posting.
  10. Participates in professional development activities.
  11. Participates in regular team meetings; communicates issues to supervisor regularly.
  12. Manages department deadlines for timely issuance of financial statements.
  13. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  14. Other duties as assigned. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience preferred or commensurate education/experience.
