SUMMARY
The Premium Service Counselor is responsible for driving premium refractive, cataract, and oculoplastics revenue across the Inland Empire Region. This role owns the performance, accountability, and expansion of the Premium Services program by increasing premium lens conversion rates, improving patient consultation effectiveness, and aligning physicians and clinical teams to revenue - focused objectives. This candidate is responsible for providing a positive experience for the patient, ensuring they are fully informed and comfortable with their financial decisions.
This is a performance-driven role requiring strong consultative selling skills, data-driven decision making, and the ability to influence clinical and operational stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and grow premium lens conversion rates across assigned clinics.
- Conduct patient consultations to improve presentation quality and closing effectiveness.
- Implement standardized scripting and objection-handling frameworks.
- Track, analyze, and report conversion rates by physician, counselor, and clinic.
- Counsel patients and provide quotes for procedures and other options not covered by insurance.
- Collaborate with marketing and outreach to align lead generation with premium service growth.
- Utilize suggestive selling and effectively present the benefits of to each patient as an individual.
- Follow up with converted and non-converted patients according to current office policy (follow-up calls, texts, emails).
- Track follow-up interactions using the current CRM system.
- Stay current on industry advancements and competitive positioning of premium services.
- Be knowledgeable about the co-management process and understand its impact on the business.
- Ensure proper input of co-management fees into split pay or direct payment to co-managing OD.
- Collect and process payments when necessary.
- Maintain a pleasant and positive attitude when dealing with all patients.
- Work in conjunction with the surgery scheduling team.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proven experience in consultative sales, medical sales, or elective healthcare services.
- Demonstrated ability to influence physicians and clinical staff.
- Comfortable discussing elective procedures and financial investment decisions with patients.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret revenue and conversion data.
- High emotional intelligence and objection-handling capability.
- Experience driving measurable revenue growth.
- Team oriented
- Ability to act independently and use good judgement
- Bilingual a plus
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- College degree and or equivalent experience including business-related courses (sales/marketing emphasis preferred).
- Experience in a medical office (ophthalmology preferred) with extensive patient experience required.
- A minimum of two years of sales experience required.

Pay Range $70,000 -$80,000
