SUMMARY
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Patient Service Representative to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and provide assistance to our patients and other visitors.  You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, maintaining the organization of our office, and ensuring that our environment is welcoming, calm, and quiet for our patients and their families.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office in a warm and friendly manner
  2. Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
  3. Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address
  4. Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients.
  5. Register new patients and update necessary records
  6. Answer phones and communicate via Ring Central.
  7. Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
  8. Process patient payments in office
  9. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
  10. Ensure company COVID-19 protocols are followed.
  11. This is an in-office position, remote work is not available
  12. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
  • Data Entry Skills
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a medical practice front office setting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
