Occupational Health COVID-19 Tester
 
Minnesota Eye Consultants is now hiring for an Occupational Health COVID-19 Tester. The COVID-19 Tester will administer the nasal/mouth COVID-19 test to Team Members to ensure compliance with federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
 
Location/Schedule:
This is a Casual position working Thursdays and Fridays, normal business hours. This position will travel to all Minnesota Eye Consultant locations including Blaine, Bloomington, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, and Woodbury.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer the nasal/mouth swab COVID test including collection of specimen and specimen processing in accordance with COVID test requirements.  Ensure chain of custody for the direction of the COVID-19 test process.
  • Document and record COVID-19 specimen results for tracking and reporting. 
  • Follow structured COVID-19 test process for test preparation, storage, transport, and specimen handling in accordance with COVID test requirements.  
  • Works closely with Compliance to schedule, perform, and report weekly COVID-19 testing at various worksites.
  • Manage inventory of COVID-19 tests and place orders to ensure ample COVID tests to meet testing needs.
  • Travel to various work worksites to conduct COVID-19 testing.
  • Communicate COVID-19 test results timely and with discretion to Team Member and others, as needed, while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Report COVID-19 test results to Compliance Department, and the Department of Health in adherence with state reporting requirements.
  • Comply with current UVP COVID-19 policies and procedures.
  • Model UVP’s core values through behavior, action, and words. Support the mission, vision and values of the organization providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work with Team Members in a professional and caring manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
 
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Possess a minimum of one of the following current licenses or certifications in the state of Minnesota:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA),
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA),
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Possession of a valid Minnesota driver’s license with no restrictions and reliable transportation.
