SUMMARY
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Medical Records Representative to join our growing healthcare team. In this role, you will work at the front desk of our medical office and aid our patients and other visitors.  You will be responsible for corresponding with patients, providing and requesting records from outside facilities, fax clinic notes and work alongside the front office staff.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Prepare charts for clinic at multiple locations.
  2. Answer portal and voicemails and fulfill Medical Records Requests.
  3. Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
  4. Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address.
  5. Confirm that patients have signed all paperwork necessary to allow records to be disclosed to patient.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
  7. Assist with audits as necessary.
  8. Purge charts to storage.
  9. Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
 
KNOWLEDE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
  • Data Entry Skills
  • Friendly and compassionate disposition
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
 
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma required. 
  • Experience in a healthcare clinic preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a medical practice front office setting
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
