Northwest Eye has a current opening for a full-time Pediatric Supervisor in Minnetonka (Crosstown) Clinic. SUMMARY
The Pediatric Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, direction and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the pediatric group, providing for smooth and efficient patient flow and operations. Provides support and resources necessary to meet the needs of patient care and the financial objectives of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds strong positive communication with physicians and works as a team to enhance the success of pediatrics.
- Develops teamwork across clinic departments.
- Works with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
- Responsible for assuring patient service needs are met. Monitors patient feedback and contributes to resolving complaints and service issues.
- Identifies and initiates process improvement opportunities.
- Plans and coordinates daily work assignments and operations. Adjusts schedules and plans as needed.
- Assists in the establishmentimplementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for all operational areas of the clinic.
- Drives the selection, training and supervision of clinic staff.
- Evaluates performance, recommending merit increases and disciplinary actions, including initiating disciplinary process.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to build employee morale and individual motivation.
- Recommends and implements new initiatives.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to expand revenue sources and ancillary services and reduce expenses.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with vendors, employees, other managers, and physicians.
- Supports a positive image of Northwest Eye inside and outside the organization.
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience in Ophthalmology practice environment and/or previous management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of health administrative practices.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with providers, staff, patients, public and external agencies.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- Ability to research and prepare reports or other correspondence as required.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
- Degree in health-related field or Business Administration (combination of related education and operational experience in a health care organization may be substituted for Bachelor Degree in Health or Business Administration).
