Northwest Eye has a current opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Optician in Golden Valley. With five locations throughout the Twin Cities metro area, Northwest Eye is among the largest specialty eye care providers in the Midwest. Our environment is both dynamic and adaptable! SUMMARY
This individual is responsible for the retail services of Northwest Eye.  Their primary function is to provide high-quality optical services that are consistent with the overall strategies, objectives and mission of the organization. Work with an experienced, professional team within a beautiful optical dispensary at Northwest Eye. Make a positive difference in helping people see the best they can with high quality products.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong sales skills.
  • Proficiency in computerized dispensary information systems.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Organized and can move between multiple tasks while maintaining progress in work and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Flexibility to work in any location as needed.
  • Consults with patients to resolve eyewear problems or concerns.
  • Maintain eyewear displays, inventory and department supplies. Advise and assists patients with frame/lens selection.
  • Performs measurements of frame and lens specifications.
  • Performs eyewear adjustments and repairs.
  • Consults with patients to resolve eyewear problems or concerns.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSE 
ABO Certification preferred or must obtain within 1 year of hire.  

EXPERIENCE
At least one year Opticianry experience.
