SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager facilitates human resource processes in accordance with UVP policy and procedure and Federal and State regulations as part of the HR team. Assists with compensation administration, development of policies and procedures, and employee relations.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for employee relations issues and interpretation of HR policies and procedures as necessary. Supporting managers in meeting with employees when needed.
  • Collaborate with managers to update and maintain job descriptions as necessary.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and participate in onboarding processes.
  • Answer employee HR questions. Investigate situations to maintain consistency and fairness.
  • Assist with leaves of absence.
  • Support HRIS system processes.
  • Employee recognition program point of contact.
  • Create and run ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Workers comp and unemployment administration.
  • Assist with developing policies and procedures to promote efficiencies within the department.
  • Support employee engagement and leadership development.
  • Participate in recruitment cycle as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four year college or university, and related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous HR experience in a healthcare organization is preferred.  PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
