Unifeye Vision Partners is currently hiring for a ASC Site Manager, Upland, CA.
 
SUMMARY
Provides functional direction to members of the perioperative team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while optimizing available resources including surgical case management and perioperative patient care coordination. Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency and leadership development. Promotes a healthy and safe environment for employees and patients. Provides leadership, direction and continuously evaluating the ongoing Quality & Performance Improvement Program to include Infection Prevention.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Participates in strategic planning and coordination of the Quality & Performance Improvement Program.
  • Assist with the collection and analyzes data related to quality or performance improvement projects that apply to perioperative services.
  • Exhibits professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Pursues professional growth and participates in a professional organization.
  • Acts as a patient advocate and maintains privacy and confidentiality of all appropriate information.
  • Assists with the assessment of the Surgery Center environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel.
  • Assists with the planning & provides perioperative educational resources using evidence-based standards and prevailing guidelines.
  •  Identifies and implements perioperative infection prevention processes related to surveillance, data analysis, and reporting to eliminate potential infection hazards for employees, physicians, patients and visitors.
  • Provides ongoing orientation and education pertinent to IPC based on the needs of the environment.
  • Plans & implements immunization programs as determined by the CDC, APIC, A.O.R.N., NFPA, IMQ & OSHA for employees, physicians and other health care providers.
  • Assist with development mechanisms for adherence to regulatory standards and facility policies & procedures.
  • Assists with analyzing quarterly performance data, occurrence reporting information, quality & outcome data, and patient satisfaction data looking for trends that may have risk implications for perioperative services.
  • Fosters a fair, safe & just culture providing support for the patients, support persons and perioperative personnel.
  • Assists with the credentialing of new R.N. & L.V.N. employees.
Education/Licensure/Certification — Mandatory:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Current registered nurse licensure in state of California
  • Current ACLS/ BLS certification
Qualifications Required:
  • Two years varied and progressive perioperative services experience in ophthalmology
  • Two years progressive experience in health care administration with increasing level of leadership responsibility and authority
  • Ability to teach and evaluate perioperative clinical performance
  • Completion of a training course for infection prevention in an ASC setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Repetitive and prolonged keyboarding with ten key proficiency and the ability to type 40 words per minute accurately
  • Regular and predictable attendance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
