Unifeye Vision Partners (UVP) is a physician-led, ophthalmology focused platform built to support independent physician practices and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).  Our model is grounded in partnership allowing physicians to focus on patient care while UVP provides the operational, legal and administrative infrastructure to support sustainable growth.   This position is hybrid in Dallas, Texas.

Position Summary

The Senior FP&A Analyst is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for two core focus areas: (1) provider compensation — calculating, analyzing, and distributing monthly and quarterly pay for MDs and ODs — and (2) financial analysis and margin reporting that supports month-end close and operational decision-making. This role partners closely with Accounting, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), and Operations to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.  The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analyst who is equally comfortable owning a high-stakes recurring payroll-adjacent deliverable, building complex models, investigating variances, and communicating findings to non-financial stakeholders. Provider compensation is the most critical recurring responsibility of this role. This role is well-suited to someone who can own and that responsibility while also growing the analytical scope and efficiency of the position over time.

Key Responsibilities

Provider Compensation (Primary Focus Area)
  • Own the end-to-end monthly MD provider compensation process: calculate productivity-based compensation, prepare individual provider files, and distribute according to necessary timeline
  • Own the monthly OD productivity bonus accrual and the quarterly OD payout, distributed and paid according to necessary timeline
  • Maintain accurate records of provider-specific compensation rules, exceptions, splits, and minimum guarantees
  • Perform post-close provider compensation analysis to validate results against booked revenue and compensation entries
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and Accounting on provider onboarding, terminations, and compensation plan changes and track/integrate accordingly
  • Continuously improve the provider compensation process through automation, standardization, and stronger documentation
Margin Analysis & Reporting
  • Own the monthly Billable Supplies (BSUP) margin analysis, including data aggregation from various support systems
  • Prepare and distribute BSUP Margins by Practice reporting to RCM, Accounting, and Operations stakeholders
  • Partner with RCM to investigate missing revenue, reconcile variances, and ensure margin accuracy
  • Prepare Non-Billable Supplies (NBSUP) adjustment data for Accounting based on Envi usage and trend reporting
Month-End Close Support
  • Prepare the monthly Net Revenue file for upload to Great Plains (GP) following receipt of the net revenue detail from RCM
  • Investigate and resolve variances; document recurring variance patterns and propose structural fixes
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure timely booking of supply-related entries and provider compensation accruals
  • Support the annual inventory valuation process
Business Partnership & Insight
  • Serve as a finance partner to RCM, Operations, and Accounting; translating financial data into actionable insight for non-financial stakeholders
  • Serve as the finance point of contact for providers and regional Operations leaders on compensation questions
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities surfaced by monthly analysis and escalate appropriately
  • Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from the VP of Finance and cross-functional leaders
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Document and maintain written SOPs for all recurring processes, with provider compensation as the highest priority
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or eliminate manual work in recurring reporting and analysis
  • Partner with IT and systems owners to improve data flow between Envi, GP, and analysis tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting experience, with demonstrable experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling; comfort working with large datasets
  • Strong understanding of month-end close processes, accruals, and the relationship between operational data and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate variances independently and communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
  • Exceptional attention to detail and discretion; able to handle sensitive compensation information appropriately
  • Track record of meeting recurring deadlines with cross-functional dependencies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, multi-site services, or provider-based organizations
  • Direct experience with provider compensation models, productivity-based pay structures (wRVU, collections-based, or similar), or physician/clinician pay administration
  • Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains / Dynamics GP preferred / NetSuite) and supply management platforms (Envi)
  • Experience with SQL, Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools for data extraction and visualization
  • Exposure to process automation tools (Alteryx, Python, UiPath, or similar)
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA
Key Competencies
  • Precision and accountability: treats provider compensation with the gravity it deserves; recognizes that an error affects a physician's paycheck and acts accordingly
  • Discretion: handles sensitive compensation data with appropriate confidentiality
  • Analytical rigor: approaches numbers skeptically, finds the root cause of variances rather than papering over them
  • Ownership mindset: takes responsibility for recurring deliverables end-to-end, including the parts that depend on other people
  • Cross-functional communication: translates financial details for operational audiences without losing precision
  • Deadline discipline: consistently delivers on month-end and quarter-end timelines
  • Documentation habit: writes down what they do so that processes outlive any single person in the seat
  • Continuous improvement: looks for the second-order fix, not just the immediate workaround

Why Join UVP

  • Be part of a physician-centric organization where legal decisions directly support patient care and physician autonomy
  • Work in a collaborative environment that values ethics, respect, and thoughtful communication

  • Contribute to a culture that emphasizes talent development, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement
